July Calendar – Notes

The Roman Catholic Church devotes the month of July to the Precious Blood of Jesus. This months would to ask everyone following our prayer calendar to devote their Masses, Rosaries, prayers and personal devotions to the Priests who may be detained in Purgatory. It may be hard to fathom but priests and religious do go to purgatory. Our prayers for them should never cease; even upon their death. This month, please remember all the priests have touched your life as well as those from our diocese who have died this year.

One particularly effective devotion is The Chaplet of The Precious blood, published on this website.
Please be the liberators of all Priests who may be suffering in purgatory as well as for all other holy Souls who may have been abandoned and forgotten by their family members.

In the words of St. Pio of Pietreclina: “The Holy Souls are eager for the prayers of the faithful which can gain indulgences for them. Their intercession is powerful. Pray unceasingly. We must empty purgatory.”

On July 31, 2013, The Feast of St. Ignatius Loyola, founder of The Society of Jesus, we ask that you pray for The Holy Father, Pope Francis I, Bishop Dennis Sullivan, and Bishop Joseph Galante.
